A Team Manager sets the vision and culture of their teams by setting individual and team performance expectations/goals, maintaining focus on improving customer satisfaction, and identifying customer impacting issues and implementing dynamic solutions.

Maturity, judgement, attention to detail, ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups and willingness to be hands-on are essential pre-requisites for success in this role.

Key job responsibilities
• Leads and develops a team of 15-20 Associates, Process Leads and Specialists; responsible for the overall direction, performance management, coordination and evaluation of the team.
• Responsible for the overall direction, performance management, coordination, motivation and evaluation of the team to ensure high quality service delivery and execution.
• Manages the task assignments of the team to maintain service levels and ensure equitable workloads among team members on a day-to-day basis.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Amazon’s policies and procedures; additional responsibilities include interviewing, training and motivating employees; planning, assigning and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; and effective conflict resolution.
• Liaise with other Data Management managers to ensure global consistency of practice
• Assists in developing and approving guidelines.
• Communicates effectively both verbally and in written form with any stakeholders including team, internal business partners, candidates, customers, high level leadership teams, etc.
• Communicates policies to associates and become the primary information source for team members; following-up to ensure compliance and consistency; taking corrective action as necessary and documenting the issue and actions taken.
• Manages key stakeholders both internal & external & partnering with them for process enhancement.
• Trained on Making great hiring decisions and support hiring drives.
• Participates in or leads projects to discover and eliminate root causes of process failure and process improvement activities led by Program Managers or ACES.
• Responsible in presenting WBR/MBR reports to hub manager to review service health and effectiveness.
• Assist Hub managers with peak preparations and staffing needs.
• Handling high level Escalations by communicating to partners or stakeholders’ and leaders from the organization root causes (COEs, RCA).
• Continuously strive to improve efficiency and effectiveness of existing process by system enhancement and procedures based on KAIZEN and LEAN methodologies.
• Partners with QA to find ways to improve the quality program.
• Participate in global DM initiatives and activities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years’ of experience in HR or related field
2+ years of people management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to clearly communicate high level strategy and details effectively across disciplines, locations, and organizations, including to senior leadership.
• Proven team leadership, interpersonal skills, and ability to get things done.
• Highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and efficient in ambiguous situations.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
