GDS Tax Technology and Transformation

 

Position

EY’s GDS Tax Technology and Transformation team’s mission is to develop, implement and integrate technology solutions that better serve our clients and engagement teams. As a member of EY’s core Tax practice, you’ll develop a deep tax technical knowledge and outstanding database, data analytics and programming skills.

 

Ever-increasing regulations require tax departments to gather, organize and analyse more data than ever before. Often the data necessary to satisfy these ever-increasing and complex regulations must be collected from a variety of systems and departments throughout an organization. Effectively and efficiently handling the variety and volume of data is often extremely challenging and time consuming for a company.

 

EY’s GDS Tax Technology team members work side by side with the firm’s engagement teams, clients, and tax technical subject matter experts to develop and incorporate market-leading data and technology solutions that deliver the highest quality, value-adding efficiencies to the Tax operations lifecycle.

 

EY is currently seeking a Staff to join our Tax Technology practice in Bangalore, India.

 

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding and implementing tax technology platforms (including data/document management, workflow, custom apps, dashboards, and portals) to support and automate internal operations of clients and engagement teams.
Management of investor demographic data and set up of footnotes to generate partner and entity level tax forms.
Configure, test, and run diagnostics on partner and entity footnotes.
Understand and evaluate key tax processes, technology, data, analytics, and risks/controls.
Grow technical skills and business knowledge through training and hands-on experience.
Identify areas of process improvement centred around the end-user.

Qualifications & Experience Required

A Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Tax Technology, Management Information Systems or Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 1 years of related work experience
Good communication and presentation skills
Basic knowledge in any one of the tax technology solutions (e.g., Go Systems, OneSource, Data Analytics) 
Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite tools (e.g., Excel, Power Point, VBA)
Working knowledge in any one of data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, Power View, and Power Map)
