Amazon Pay ( APIPL) is seeking an innovative and highly motivated Product leader to reimagine the future of India’s credit card industry, and scale India’s #1 co-branded credit card, to new heights.
Amazon Pay is on a mission to offer its customers the most convenient, rewarding and trusted payment experience and Amazon’s co-branded credit card – “Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card” is set to play a key role in realizing this mission. It was launched in strategic partnership with ICICI bank and VISA Inc in 2018, and has emerged as India’s largest, fastest growing and most loved credit card in the country today.
We’re looking for an experienced Product leader who loves listening to customers, uncovering stated and unstated problems and finding the right product experiences to solve these problems. As the product leader for Amazon’s co-branded credit card, you will have the exciting opportunity to shape and deliver on strategy to scale this program to be the most preferred instrument for Amazon’s customers.
A Product leader at Amazon is an entrepreneur. You will articulate compelling user stories, crisply define customer and product requirements, own the product roadmap, and refine specifications and architecture through the product lifecycle. You will work closely with design, engineering, data sciences, project management and legal teams in an agile environment to launch products and scale them to tens of millions of customers. You will work with marketing, sales, business development, finance, and account management teams to drive the adoption of your product and further refine features and functionality basis live customer feedback. You will be accountable for ensuring that the product complies with external regulation, and the operating processes and systems you setup are scalable.
A successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent business acumen & vision, product & program management skills, and a highly effective people leader who can work in a highly ambiguous environment. You will bring a heightened sense of ownership, thought leadership and product building expertise to a fast-pace start-up environment, and you will be partnering with technology teams and stakeholders across Amazon to drive business outcomes.
Key job responsibilities
-Define market opportunity, business strategy, product roadmap and GTM strategy for Amazon’s co-branded credit card program
-Solve difficult and complex topics such as improving reach, application approval rates, on and off Amazon usage, while keeping delinquencies to the minimum.
-Build and refine specific product requirements for various identified customer segments
– Negotiating with banks/ partners/ regulators to achieve the vision, in conjunction with other payments teams
-Drive execution of product roadmap and consumer adoption by partnering with internal stakeholders (tech, sales, operations). Making smart tradeoffs, coordinate dependencies, and maintain communication throughout the organization to guarantee smooth and efficient product delivery.
-Oversee a team of product / program managers to achieve business goals
A day in the life
In a single day you may end up debating the best onboarding experience with the design team, reviewing the latest insights from customer research, and working with data scientists to identify patterns that help you target your customers better.
The role requires creation of capabilities across credit lifecycle (credit modelling, onboarding, shopping experience, simplified repayments, cross selling etc.). It requires this leader to work very closely with our partner bank to define and deliver industry best value propositions. You will be listening closely to customers to identify gaps/opportunities where credit can transform experience and drive delight, stickiness and higher consumption

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
– Experience with end to end product delivery
– Experience as a product manager or owner
– Experience owning technology products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
– Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
