DESCRIPTION

Payroll Technology at Amazon is all about enabling our business to perform at scale as efficiently as possible with no defects. As Amazon’s workforce grows, both in size and geography, Amazon’s payroll operations become increasingly complex, and our customers are asked to do more with less. Process can only get them so far, and that’s where we come in with technology solutions to integrate and automate systems, detect defects before payment, and provide insights.
You will help us build next generation, Single-Page Applications (SPAs) with bleeding edge front-end technologies, such as React, Redux, and Angular, on top of a cutting edge microservice architecture built with AWS serverless architecture, Lambda, and DynamoDB. You will work closely with our software development engineers, and product managers from conception through delivery on world class applications.

The Front End Engineer position requires in-depth knowledge of design and development of web/mobile user interfaces and interactive applications. You should have experience with agile methodologies, working experience with at least one high level or scripting language, and experience building scalable and robust user interfaces. Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (like React, VueJs, or Angular) is a must. You will own the end-to-end design of major deliverables, working closely with a team of SDEs to execute them. This is a high visibility and fast-paced environment where you will make a direct impact on the customer experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
At least 4+ years work experience in a related field
Demonstrated proficiency with nodejs, react, angular, android and ios platforms.
Ability to design scalable, reliable, maintainable solutions with very excellent user experience.
Obsession with quality, operational excellence, and customer experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work in a team environment
Experience and willingness to mentor more junior engineers and help them develop their skills and leadership abilities
