Alexa is Amazon’s groundbreaking virtual assistant designed for voice interactions. We believe voice is the most natural interface for interacting with technology across many domains.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own quality, engagement and monetization for the open-domain Q&A product on Alexa. You will be part of our Global Alexa AI, and help us solve for the challenges across that are large, complex, and global in scope.
In this role, you will own the vision, strategies, capability roadmaps, and feature priorities for key technologies that support Alexa systems. You will work closely with customers across Amazon providing strategic services that raise the bar for customer engagement. You will work closely with stakeholders across various software and country teams to identify and drive innovative solutions that achieve business goals. You will design for a global audience, delivering secure, highly scalable, highly available services for all of your customers.
Key job responsibilities

Develop and execute global strategy and roadmap around the Q&A product with your team and own related quality, engagement and monetization goals

Build information-centric experiences catering Alexa customers

Shape the global strategy and own global programs to improve our product in challenging locales (e.g. non-latin script)

Influence builder and category teams to solve for unique maketplaces, including tech and product teams in US & UK. This includes data-driven opportunity assessments for specific locales and making sure that biggest challenges get addressed.

Understand the Alexa Architecture, and develop best practices in performing dive-deep for customer utterance failures, and recommend the appropriate corrective action by influencing technical teams across architecture.

Champion new technologies by adopting Amazon’s working backward philosophy to improve customer experience at global scale.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications:

Bachelors degree in STEM or related field with 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
5+ years experience in building consumer products, driving up customer engagement and monetization.
Experience in delivering in a global setup and successfully influencing partner teams on behalf of your customers.
Experience working on solutions end-to-end from developing product vision, implementation to measuring impact, and managing continuous improvement.
Experience working with technical teams in scoping, sizing, and prioritizing initiatives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications:

10+ years of product management experience
Expertise with voice products or Q&A systems (e.g. speech recognition, natural language understanding, knowledge graphs) and challenges with non-latin script language.
Track record of setting a bold vision and executing on it with your direct team and with partner teams
Strong senior leadership presence with verbal & written communication skills
Analytical, data-driven decision making and ability to solve problems with data fast
