The Role: Amazon Ads Team in India is looking for a experienced business professional to work with leading brands across categories. As a Strategic Partner Manager, you will play a key role in understanding and articulating the needs of our brands and help them reach their short- & long-term goals via ads, both on and off the Amazon platform. You will leverage existing C-level relationships, develop new relationships and act as a trusted partner to solve for brand’s business needs. Using our cohort of Ad products (across search, display and video) you will make brands more productive and sharper in their approach. You will also work with Amazon leadership team and various internal stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Finance, Program) to drive success for our partners.
The ideal candidate will have a consulting/key account management/digital advertising background with proven track record of working on strategic customers/projects, possess strong communications skills and have the ability to think strategically and analytically about the business. Working backwards from customer needs he/she should be able to seamlessly build and convey compelling value propositions using data driven insights and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. He/she will have a keen sense of ownership, curiosity to learn and desire to win!
Key job responsibilities
• Serve as a key member of advertising sales team, helping us drive overall Amazon Advertising strategy and business growth
• Establish and build strong, long-term relationships with C-level executives across advertisers /brands. Contribute to the overall growth and profit of Amazon India’s business by nurturing our partner ecosystem
• Identify, rationalize, and define target market segments, engagement processes and ads strategy for our partners
• Use data driven insights to build and scale the ads business and ensuring advertiser success on the platform
• Act as the advertisers’ advocate to evangelize for their success working with Amazon India, by partnering with product, account management, support, and global teams to drive advertiser success on Amazon’s advertising platform.
• Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to increase adoption & scale
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree
– 5+ years of experience in consulting/ sales/ account management/ marketing
– Proven track record of managing and growing business relationship at scale and handling complex deals/projects end to end
– High ownership skills, drive ads business end to end for the customer
– Strong analytical thinker who can objectively look at business needs and define course of action
– Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
– Ability to develop and execute sales strategies, tactics, plans, processes, systems and programs
– Can thrive in fast paced dynamic environments
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 5-8 years of digital advertising/marketing experience, prior experience with digital publishers/media agencies
– Proven track record of handling C-level conversations
– MBA from Top Business School
