GDS Strategy and Transactions – Associate Director – IA
This is part of the Infrastructure Advisory team and focuses on both the government and private sector. The team supports all activities across the infrastructure value chain predominantly before Financial Close. Additionally, the team works a lot with the Infrastructure Advisory practices of Oceania, US, Canada, UKI, Western Europe and Maghreb (WEM) along with Singapore. As a part of service delivery, the team is responsible for undertaking the following set of activities:
Government sector:
Transaction management support, including financial and commercial advisory services, market sounding and procurement etc.
PPP research for policy development and documentation
Business Cases including financial and economic appraisal (Cost benefit analysis)
Survey development and analysis
Financial modelling and study – building and reviewing long term project finance models
Adhoc research
Business Development support in terms of proposals, thought leadership and pre-sales research

The Opportunity
The EY GDS Strategy and Transactions (SaT) Infrastructure Advisory team is seeking an experienced Infrastructure sector professional with a strong background in emerging technologies at the Associate Director level to join our team. The individual will support engagements in the integration of digital solutions such as GIS, digital twins, BIM, and other advanced technologies into infrastructure projects, driving innovation and delivering transformative outcomes for our clients. Additionally, the role will focus on advancing digital transformation initiatives within infrastructure projects, using data collection and technology to enhance service delivery and improve customer experience. By applying a digital lens across projects, the individual will help drive reform and optimize service outcomes, ensuring that digital solutions align with the broader objectives of infrastructure development.
This role offers the opportunity to lead in a high-growth area, leveraging technology to redefine infrastructure development and operation on a global scale. A key part of the role will be to maintain strong communication with the practice offices and keep them informed of our evolving service offerings to drive growth, and willingness to understand the local policy and market environment of client offices they serve.
Your key responsibilities
Drive regional revenue growth by setting and achieving specific targets
Lead and expand the technology in infrastructure service line, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions that meet client needs
Lead infrastructure advisory projects end to end
Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and leading complex engagements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technology solutions across various infrastructure projects
Mentor and develop team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth
Drive improvements in the team’s understanding of requirements and responsible for service delivery

To qualify for the role, you must have
A post Graduate degree in business management from a premier institute with 16 years of applicable consulting and industry experience or an MCA from a reputed institute
Strong knowledge of business cases, procurement and financial modelling
Knowledge of technologies in infrastructure (e.g. digital twin, GIS, building information modelling, AI, etc.)
At least 16-20 years of consulting experience on technologies within the infrastructure sector in a top tier consulting firm
Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing large-scale projects
Ability to contribute to client discussions with individual perspectives / insights
Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills
Willingness to undertake international travel as per business requirements
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ideally, you’ll also have
Relevant professional certifications or memberships in infrastructure or technology associations
Experience working in a global or regional role, with an understanding of diverse markets
A track record of thought leadership and innovation within the Infrastructure technologies space
Prior experience in a consulting environment, with a focus on digital transformation in infrastructure
