Job summary
Amazon has one of the largest & most trusted shipping networks in India which is currently leveraged by businesses working with Amazon. We want to extend the benefits of these shipping services to SMBs for their own business to help them serve their customers better & in turn grow their business. This role will be responsible for acquiring new customers for this growing business.

We are seeking a street-smart, result-oriented candidate with sales & business development experience in the shipping & logistics industry. Candidate should be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities and changing landscapes. One should be collaborative, but equally data-driven and analytical. The individual should constantly strive to expand our understanding of the metrics and industry.

Key job responsibilities
• Responsible for onboarding & account managing SMBs for shipping services business across India through a team of sales associates, owning revenue targets & ensuring best-in-class SMB experience
• Scout and reach out to target customers by generating and qualifying leads
• Engage with qualified leads with pitching for Amazon Shipping to get higher conversion.
• Get on the ground to meet & convert potential big accounts/clients using sales and negotiation skills.
• Regularly meet existing accounts validating our service levels, develop new revenue streams and target to increase business
• Ensure timely billing and collection from the new & existing customers
• Monitor sales revenue from new & existing accounts & take corrective steps to achieve goals
• Ensure best-in-class client experience and ensuring service levels through the operations team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred

Experience
Relevant:
• More than 1 year of experience in sales from Logistics or shipping Industry.
• Experience in an analytical, results-oriented environment with external customer interaction.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven ability to manage the business “by the numbers”. Must be metrics-driven.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly.
• Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
