Are you interested in helping Amazon ensure that customers make great purchase decisions and that the world’s most recognized Brands using Amazon are successfully listing and selling their products? The Automated Brand Protection team designs and builds high performance software systems using machine learning that identify and prevent abuse on behalf of brand owners worldwide.
This is a global role that will include interaction with Brands, operational teams and stakeholders in countries outside of the United States, requiring an ability to communicate effectively and understand the different needs of global customers.
We are looking for an experienced Risk Manager II to own complex projects, take high judgement decisions and manage escalations associated with our program. As a Risk Manager, you will be adding critical value by helping our organization operate at scale.
Key job responsibilities
• Analyze escalations, existing policy, process gaps, and Innovate and design new or improved processes to support the business needs.
• Lead and support teams with investigating, managing and resolving high-impact brand related incidents and escalations around product authenticity and Intellectual Properties (counterfeit, trademark, copyright).
• Take leading role in drafting and presenting deep-dive documents, including responses to senior executives and time sensitive PR/ legal issues.
• Drive resolution of projects designed to improve operational and process efficiency. This will include accessing and analyzing data and working extensively with cross functional/external teams.
• Identify and develop appropriate data sources and elements which contribute to risk-based assessments.
• Use high-level judgment to own complex enforcement decisions in ambiguous situations.

About the team
The vision of Automated Brand Protection is to ensure every Brand’s catalog (ASINs and offers) is clean with no IP infringements while minimizing friction for the Sellers. We do this by proactively identifying infringing content on ASINs and offers through various signals including Brand provided data, Seller behavior, Brand licensee relationships, Brand/Seller appeals, etc. We build highly transparent systems that communicate the impact of our protections clearly and unambiguously to the Brand Owner and earn their trust.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
– Experience handling confidential information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
– Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
– Experience with SQL and Excel
