DESCRIPTION

Amazon’s Ring is looking for is looking for high-energy, detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to perform quality assurance testing. QATs at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of understanding and driving test execution with minimal help. They work towards understanding application performance, functionality, and features to great depth enabling them to report issues, take ownership and drive them to closure. QATs are highly accurate in performing application tests and reporting the behavior ensuring that there is no ambiguity while reproducing issues.

Key job responsibilities
· Write test cases that are high quality, high value, and maintainable
· Reproduce errant product behavior to assist developers or other testers and identify, track, and accurately report defects found
· Test Aptitude: You show a strong ability to find bugs worth fixing. You are a good Ad-hoc tester. Also deep dive into the logs to identify errors and provide the failure analysis back to developers.
· Provide feedback on coverage, quality of test instructions and acts as a catalyst to process sustenance
· Have understanding and empathy for Amazon’s customers. You are a customer advocate for the team. Review and analysis for the requirements .
· Exhibit domain expertise across multiple components or features of a product. You have knowledge of the features and detailed functional requirements of the work well enough to execute your assigned tests, and find gaps in the test plan/test coverage.
· Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with your team and with other groups
· Worked on tools that help improve efficiency/product quality.
· Having good domain knowledge on Devices and E commerce will be added advantage
· Perform manual testing of services and UI features on desktop browsers, mobile browsers and mobile shopping application
· Analyze test logs; provide accurate reports with unambiguous steps to reproduce the issues reported.
· Communicate and partner with different teams (both internal and external) to address the issues reported and drive them to closure.
· Maintain detailed and accurate progress records to enable aggregate performance and issue tracking.
· Identify, communicate, and champion process improvement opportunities that will benefit the entire team.
· Worked on Regression , Sanity , Smoke and different testing and have experience on QA Process and methodology.
· Familiarity with Agile methodology . Working knowledge on defect tracking tools , test management software and SQL .

– Create, execute, analyze, maintain and troubleshoot automated test cases
– Drive the creation of test plans and test strategy for our products
– Execute test cases, validate bug fixes and sprint tickets, report test results, and be an advocate for quality in every phase of the development process

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 1 to 3 years quality assurance testing experience in a technology industry or equivalent. · Bachelor’s degree with concentrations in computer science or equivalent. · Excellent testing skills .Well versed in SDLC and has hands on experience on STLC. · Meticulous attention to detail; the ability to juggle multiple tasks in parallel without lowering the quality bar. · Self-motivation and a strong bias for action; the ability to hit aggressive productivity goals without micro-management. · Strong communication skills; the ability to partner with team members and internal partners effectively.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Knowledge of Appium, Selenium, TestNG and other open source testing tools · Knowledge of Java, C# or C++ programming language · Experience in writing web or mobile based product testing frameworks and automation tools
