Amazon’s Last Mile Analytics & Quality team is looking for an enthusiastic, customer obsessed, Program Manager to manage projects, implement and improve metrics, improve Off-Manifest & Invoice quality globally.
To be successful in this role, you need a passion for making data driven decisions which will have direct impact on delivery and customer experience. One of the key strengths for success in this role is ability to be an effective communicator to various audiences. The ability to remain flexible and adept to learning new tools and systems is instrumental to the role. Our environment is deadline driven, fast paced and requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable interacting or working with multiple teams (business, technical and product).
The ideal candidate has a background of running large, cross-functional projects. The candidate should be comfortable working on high-level strategy and design, as they are rolling-up their sleeves and working on implementation. They have demonstrated the ability to build customized logistics solutions, drive process improvement, standardize procedures and eliminate the root cause of defects within current systems. This job will require strong communication and writing skills while having the ability to work independently in a high pressure, and often ambiguous, work environment. Candidate must be flexible with hours and travel. Passion and drive for customer service is a must.
Major Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Program Mangement: Use data analyses and statistical techniques to develop solutions to improve customer experience and to guide business decision making. Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations
Stakeholder Management: Capable of initiating and liaising with multiple stakeholders across OPS & Tech teams and provide program updates, identify pain points & business opportunity to build new use case.
People Management: Ability to influence –without authority & handle teams. Hire & develop talent to build team strengths. Develop & coach direct reports to upskill & create opportunities that consistently challenge the team to Thinking BIG. Set expectations to the team & provide regular feedback to manage performance and deliver results.
Deliver Results: Drive all the major levers of every program insisting on the highest standards of quality to deliver the best performance.
Ownership: Ability to identify business opportunities based on high fidelity data built on holistic system understanding. Conceptualize programs end to end that solve business problems. Liaise with relevant stakeholders across OPS & Tech teams to identify pain points, requirements to align program goals. Aptitude to identify KPIs that measure program progress & provide feedback for course correction.
Abstract Problem Solving: Handle abstract environments & break down complex projects to manageable components for the team and set processes & feedback metrics around it.
Process improvements: Enable automation, develop simplifications & promote kaizens across use cases

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree required.

· 3+ years supply chain, transportation operations, and/or project management experience

· Proven problem solving and project management skills

· MBA from a top tier business school

· Demonstrable problem-solving, mathematics and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a business environment

· Ability to manage teams

· Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented work environment

· Experience in writing SQL queries and mining databases

· Up to 25% travel

· Excellent communication and data presentation skills

· Fluent written and spoken English
