Amazon.com operates in a virtual, global eCommerce environment without boundaries, and operates a diverse set of businesses worldwide, including retail, third party marketplaces, eCommerce platforms, web services for developers. The SPS (Selling Partner Systems) function is responsible for building retail platforms, tools and automation required to manage selection, maintain competitive pricing, forecast demand, buy products and deal with vendors. CMT (Competitive Monitoring Tools) is an integral part of Selling Partner Systems enabling Amazon’s pricing strategy and operations. The team’s primary role is to provide on-time and accurate inputs to help make great pricing decisions. We build and execute scalable & efficient processes to ensure Amazon’s price competitiveness. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and Amazon’s topline & profitability.

A successful candidate will have an established background in driving a complex program portfolio with considerable impact, excellent program management, problem solving and communication skills and be comfortable interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels. The candidate should have a history of driving deep insights from complex data, have exceptional business judgement including financial acumen to quickly assess the viability of key decisions, ability to write compelling business documents and drive outcomes for senior leadership at Amazon. The ability to influence cross functionally and across the organization, at all levels, will be absolutely critical to success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
* Defining goals inline with the business vision, and building roadmaps to achieve the same.
* Identifying business impact of trends and making data backed decisions.
* Communicating with stakeholders and leadership through narrative documents
* Extracting data from databases and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis
* Escalating problems or variances in the information and data to the relevant owners and following through on resolutions.
* Drive process improvements to improve efficiencies.

* Driving appropriate data oriented analysis, adoption of technology solutions and process improvement projects to achieve operational and business goals
* Managing stakeholder communication across multiple lines of business on operational milestones, process changes and escalations

About the team
Competitor Monitoring Team (CMT) drives the Amazon flywheel, by providing competitive pricing information to the Retail and 3P businesses in an automated and near real time manner. The primary objective of CMT is to provide accurate and timely information about price and other dimensions such as availability, promotions, ship price and rebate which are relevant to customer’s purchasing decisions. CMT publishes these information across Retail and 3P products for all marketplaces and regions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
