DESCRIPTION
Partner Success Solutions Architects (PSSAs) is a high visibility techno commercial position, they work with AWS Account teams to understand the needs of the AWS customers and suggest the most appropriate partner/s solutions to them. PSSAs also work with AWS partner sales & development teams to develop partner’s technical strategy aligned to AWS business objectives. This strategy supports partner selection and drives initiatives by validating and connecting partner capabilities with segment needs. It also informs the AWS partner management team of any gaps and trends so they can evolve their technical enablement plans. PSSA go deeper on select opportunities that are strategic to the segment ensuring partners leverage the best practices, tools and patterns. PSSA also validate statements of work or deal with partner quality escalations as they arise.
Key job responsibilities
Partner Success Solution Architect (PSSA) is responsible for positioning and supporting the utilization of APN Partners within an allocated AWS sales territory. PSSA’s are Partner agnostics and they are tagged to the Industry Vertical .The PSSA role is also responsible for partner delivery quality through proactive enablement of local partner teams and acts as an escalation point for issues relating to partner solution deployments or partner service delivery execution.

A day in the life
PSSAs work as 2 in a box with the AWS Partner Sales/Success Managers, there responsibility is to help AWS account teams to find right partner and partner solutions for their accounts while on the other side they work closely with AWS Partner Management teams to influence the Partner strategies to suite the market signals, thus helping AWS partners to develop the solutions that are needed by AWS customers. PSSAs validate the partner solution architectures and review the partner SoWs, to facilitate PoC s and partner funding through AWS partner funding programs.
About the team
Ideal candidate must have breadth of AWS Cloud solutions knowledge at level 100 to 200 and understanding of partner solutions for industry verticals like FSI/Telecom/Manufacturing etc. Must have knowledge of cloud migration and interpersonal skills to engage with AWS and Partner stakeholders at CXO level.
PSSAs don’t do Software development , troubleshooting or technical support etc. They need to understand the business & technical challenges of different industries, common solutions in the market and how to leverage cloud to solve these challenges. Prior experience working with AWS or other cloud service providers in similar roles is highly desirable
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
– 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
– 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
– Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
– Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
