Business Analyst:

About the role: We are looking for a customer-obsessed innovator, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and an ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. They will have excellent oral and written communication skills, a focus to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize work. A Business Analyst will own the production and delivery of a suite of reports, dashboards and tools used by leaders to take decisions that impact customer of selling partner experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Create, support and continuously improve reports and metrics that support the business operations
2. Convert data into digestible business intelligence and actionable information using tools like Quicksight/Tableau
3. Shape and deliver key metrics, reports, and indicators by which our business will assess its performance
4. Dive deep into large data sets to answer specific business questions using Excel, SQL and other data manipulation languages
5. Work directly with business teams to utilize metrics and analysis to determine improvement opportunities

A Business Analyst will use the following tools –
1. SQL (Oracle and Redshift)
2. Excel Advanced VBA
3. Tableau/Quicksight
4. Report scheduling tools (internal)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
2. Ability to create complex SQL Queries joining multiple datasets, ETL DW concepts.
3. Knowledge of Python, VBA, Macros, Selenium scripts
4. Demonstrated strength in Analytical skills – has ability to ask right questions, analyze data, draws conclusion by making appropriate assumptions
5. Working knowledge of Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
6. Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to the stakeholders and senior management as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience using very large datasets
2. Prior experience in a BI role with a technology company or financial institution
3. NLP & Text Processing
4. Using Python / R for data analysis, statistical tools such as SAS
5. Coding skills in Scala, R & Experience in Amazon Redshift and other AWS technologies

Research Analyst:

As a Research Analyst, you will work with product, technology and operations teams to drive complex solutions to address root cause issues of business problems. The solution will include but not limit to machine learning, artificial intelligence and computer vision solutions, thereby contributing to improved customer and selling partner experience on Amazon. You will also be responsible for identifying and driving new opportunities based on customer and business data, build solution, implement them and measure the performance.
An ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is passionate about discovering and solving complicated problems, learning complex systems, working with numbers, and organizing data to build complex solutions (AI/ML). You will also be passionate about helping the team make great decisions based on data, possess exceptional skills in project management and data reporting, and be interested in e-commerce industry. You will be detail-oriented and organized, capable of handling multiple projects at once, and capable of dealing with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities. You will have strong expertise in process optimizations and systems thinking and will be required to engage directly with multiple internal teams to drive business projects for the RBS team. Candidates must be successful both as individual contributors and in a team environment, and must be obsessed with serving the customer. Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven work environment.

Basic qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
• Strong analytical skills – has ability to ask right questions, analyze data, draws conclusion by making appropriate assumptions
• Ability to communicate complex technical problems in simple plain stories to build and implement technical solutions
• Ability to use ML models to build scalable solutions
• Proficiency in Python and R Programming & Selenium.
• Proficiency in SQL and Advanced Excel (Array and Statistical formulas). Able to produce data. Familiar with systems, scripting – depending on the level of experience.
• Understanding of visualization tools such as Tableau
• Knowledge of managing Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) jobs

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience in e-commerce industry · Experience in business process improvement, Lean/Six Sigma a strong plus
• Ability to automate reporting generating processes using tools and programing techniques such as SQL/ SAS/ DW concepts & advanced Excel.
