Manager – Finance – Payroll

As Manager – Finance – Payroll at EY Global Delivery Services (GDS), India, you will combine our financial objectives with your accounting and leadership experience to provide an effective and robust Finance (Payroll) function. 

You will actively involve yourself in the execution of the strategic planning for Finance (Payroll) related matters.  You will become part of a high-performing team, providing support and managing accounting and Finance (Payroll) related activities

 

Functional Responsibilities

Responsible for accurate and timely accounting of payroll cost on monthly basis and ensuring quality of regular management reports
Working on payroll related Tax activities, monthly TDS, advance tax estimates, 3CD information, etc.
Ensuring timely deposits of PF, ESI and other statutory dues
Leading statutory accounting/audit/reporting/internal controls as well as reporting under IFRS for group consolidation purposes for activities relating to payroll.
Working with various internal teams to consolidate and validate inputs for monthly payroll processing
Contribute in providing inputs for financial plans and forecasts along with adhoc management reports
Support in standardization of payroll activities and ensuring overall efficiency 
Support in implementation of new processes/controls to mitigate any control gaps
Participate in development of local financial and accounting policies and procedures aligned to Global policies. Ensure adequate internal control systems and processes commensurate with the operational needs. 

 

Technical skills requirements

Knowledgeable in payroll activities and broader financial reports like financial statements, general ledger, financial planning.
Accounting knowledge, Analytical skills
In-depth professional experience, 10-12 yrs in a similar role preferably in the corporate Finance (Payroll) function of a Shared Services.
Professional Certifications e.g CPA, CMA, CAT, Six Sigma will be added advantage. 
Working skills and knowledge of financial modules of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle Financials etc).
MS Office Skills i.e. strong Excel Knowledge.
Highly analytic and keen sense for details and data accuracy.
