We make our devices easily discoverable and available through every channel, and develop relationships with retailers and partners across the large and complex retail landscape in India.

Amazon Devices is looking for a dynamic leader to build the offline retail channel in India. You would own the relationships with distributors & retail partners across India. The leader has to cultivate existing & new channels to unlock long term growth. You will work on creation of sales promotion strategy with strong rigor on last mile execution. You will partner with internal cross functional teams & external field force to deliver on sales targets.

Key job responsibilities
• Execute the strategy of how Amazon Devices are deployed in offline retail channel.
• Own identifying, pitching and negotiating retail listing and distribution agreements that enable the sales of Amazon Devices through offline retail channel.
• Owns and leads engagements with senior leadership at retailers and distribution partners to support the continued growth and financial sustainability of Amazon Devices.
• Inspect processes and mechanisms across the team that track sales forecasts, determine allocations, and plan shipments.
• Owns a voice-of-the-customer feedback mechanism to influence product roadmaps, product features and address customer pain points.
• Develop an organizational structure that aligns talent to the strategic objectives of the channel sales team, and hire & develop the best talent to deliver on these objectives.
• Lead and mentor a team of best-in-class account managers and field sales, and create an environment which enables professional growth and motivates the team.
• Develop and track senior leader goals with partner teams to ensure business cases are met.
• Serve as the single threaded owner for all new category distribution business reviews, with regular senior leader interaction.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of channel sales experience.
• 5+ years of business development, relationship management & sourcing new business experience.
• 2+ years of team management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in negotiating contracts at the CXO level across channel partners and agencies.
• Experience in managing a P&L.
• Adept at managing both strategic and operational aspects of the role.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including marketing, product management, customer service, legal, finance, and senior leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong bias for action.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven track record of cultivating existing sales channels & developing new channels to drive business outcomes.
• Experience in consumer electronics retail, FMCG or consumer durable categories.
• Experience in hiring & developing high quality talent.
• Highly analytical, including demonstrated ability to convert raw data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment.
• Excellent communicator, with a track record of using writing to drive decisions and outcomes.
