Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant, Python Data Engineer
In this role, you will be responsible for and as Python Developer with a team of Quantitative Analysts and Modelers, as well as various other business and technology units.
Responsibilities
Passionate about delivering tactical and strategic solutions to support the banks’ Market Risk processes and reporting.
The individual will be part of an Agile team working closely with team members in India and New York.
Perform development and provide system support as required for the project.
Re-architect, re-design and re-engineer platforms to seek data distribution and orchestration problems.
Understanding of the banking technology landscape along with the ability to analyze requirements, identify data sources, and communicate to downstream systems efficiently.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
BE/B Tech/ MCA
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid relevant experience in Python and PySpark.
Good Experience with SparkSQL, Spark Streaming Python.
Need to have good experience in Hadoop, Hive, and HBase
Demonstrable understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Design.
Hands-on experience with stream processing applications as Kafka, KSQL, and understanding of low-level Kafka inner workings and partitioning schemes
Experience with SQL – Design, Develop with a deep understanding of Optimization techniques (e.g.: DB2, Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server)
Good knowledge of key AWS services EC2, EMR, GCP DataProc, Databricks, Azure HDInsisghts
Preferred qualifications
Knowledge of versioning tools like GIT, SVN and AWS services with architectural knowledge
Creative ways of solving problems efficiently and logically
Development experience in both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
Solid grasp of distributed architecture including web services and messaging.
Prior working experience in the financial services industry; specifically on Risk and Quantitative Modelling.
