We are inviting applications for the role of Disaster Recovery – Manager – English!

The manager will provide leadership in coordinating, assessing, developing & communicating recovery environment requirements and contingency plans associated with the company’s Business Units to protect the firm if facilities or technology resources are unavailable due to an unforeseen disruption
Act as single point of contact for and works with the Account and Client to gain understanding of the contract and to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
Lead the implementation of solutions for storing and accessibility of disaster recovery information, artifacts, plans, test results, contact lists and other critical information required to manage an adverse event
Proactively driving improvement initiatives on the day-to -day business via process and automation. Will support major incident as required in a consulting capacity.
Show leadership towards senior management level to consult and convince implementation of ORC. Leading projects to develop new continuity plans.
This position will allow the incumbent to manage the team in charge of planning and implementing the Business Unit contingency plans, which oversee developing manual / off-line procedures to mitigate any risk associated with complete or partial failure of facilities, technology systems, or applications due to an unforeseen disruption.
The applicant shall maintain direct contact between the BCP Project Office, Information Technology Operations, Technology Architecture and Engineering Systems, and Systems Application Program Management is required. Participate in business unit and development planning meetings and activities as needed. Facilitate the detection, escalation, resolution, and follow-up of any unresolved concerns in a timely manner.
Provide Business Continuity Planning documentation and training to all employees having a need to understand the Business Continuity Planning process.
Perform periodic reviews and tests of established Business Continuity Plans and procedures, reporting findings to management and making recommendations for improvements as needed

 

 

In this role, you will work with stakeholders across the product lines to deliver detailed control requirements in line with the Control Framework for the firm

Responsibilities:

Assume ownership and management of the overall business recovery process
Assume responsibility for ensuring the development of EACH of the recovery plans by each of the recovery team leaders
Schedule and conduct project planning sessions as required
Perform a company-wide Business Impact Assessment (BIA)
Monitor the business recovery plan development and scheduled deliverables from each team
When complete, publish the plan and distribute to the appropriate team leaders, backups, other staff, and a copy to offsite storage
Ensure maintenance of the plans through annual review and team leader updates as changes take place. A periodic and comprehensive assessment to ascertain the program effectiveness is required (semi-annually)
Develop and give overview presentations internally and provide training to ensure continued awareness
Review and reconcile recovery plans
Schedule, attend, coordinate, and conduct planned tests
Document problems
Assign problem resolution to individual(s)
Monitor to ensure correction
Provide reports to management
Most important, ensure that all plans are backed up weekly and rotated to offsite storage
Perform a business wide Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
Ensure that a Hazard Mitigation process is in place
Ensures that a mechanism is in place for logistically tracking resources and that a Business Recovery Command Center or Emergency Operations Center has been established
Work with Help Desk, Operations Control Center, and Network Control Center personnel to ensure that problems are escalated to disaster event status when appropriate and to allow Help Desk personnel to initiate recovery procedures when appropriate

 

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications

Experience in operational risk and BC / ITSC / DR management
Documented subject matter expertise in IT Disaster Recovery best practices, methodologies, trends, tools, and issue identification
EC-Council Disaster Recovery Professional (EDRP) certification or similar will be a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
In depth knowledge of Crisis, mission critical & Business Continuity Management practices and protocols
Detail oriented and ability to adhere to strict timelines
Proficient in MS -Office Suite (Advanced – Excel, Word,and PowerPoint)
 

Preferred qualifications 

Exposure and understanding of Business Continuity Management processes and best practices
Experience or proper awareness of BCP/DR significance
Experience in or Certified BUSINESS CONTINUITY PROFESSIONAL
Post graduate, Technical skill: ISO 22301,BCI, PMI, ITIL etc.
Experienced in Business Continuity Management
Incident Management / monitoring experience
Knowledge of MS suite of products including Power point, Share point etc.
