Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon, and the leader in providing secure, reliable, scalable, and innovative cloud services that help more than a million businesses across the global scale and grow. We are expanding in a number of areas, and our Financial Services team is looking for a seasoned Analytics & AI/ML leader with experience in business development/ sales, driving top line growth and overall end-customer adoption across Financial Services industry.

The ideal candidates will possess a strong business development / sales backgrounds and Analytics (preferred) or AI/ML technology experience that will enable them to engage directly with Financial Services customers, coach sales teams, and lead tactical and strategic initiatives to deliver innovative solutions to the Financial Services industry. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in designing and deploying Analytics or AI/ML technology solutions that support multiple areas within the Financial Services technology map. Domain areas of expertise would include key elements of the following:

• Architectural and operational knowledge of the critical Analytics and AI/ML systems needed to support the Financial Services industry across the value chain
• An understanding of the workflows needed to support the various business functions within Financial Services; and how Analytics and AI/ML can differentiate the business
• An understanding of the business, technical, and operations needs Analytics and AI/ML of Financial Services customers
• Relationships with, and an understanding of, key system integrators (and their offerings) and independent solutions vendors in Analytics and AI/ML in Financial Services industry

We are expanding in a number of areas, and our Financial Services team is looking for a seasoned Analytics & AI/ML leader with experience in business development/ sales, driving top line growth and overall end-customer adoption across Financial Services industry.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of technology-related enterprise solutions sales, business development, or services delivery experience
• 5+ years of experience in customer-related interactions (presentations, building relationships, structuring and providing program oversight, working with partners, statements of work/commercial exposure, business case creation and presentation, and technical pre-sales)
• Demonstrated understanding of Financial Services workflow or value chains, and related Analytics and AI/ML technologies
• 3+ years of working domain experience in data analytics
• Demonstrated understanding of cloud technologies, and their current or future application in Financial Services
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• A team player who effectively integrates, motivates, and builds relationships with cross-functional team members, sponsors, key stakeholders, executives, and other individuals or organizations involved with or affected by a project
• Competency in the Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce, and project management toolsets

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years direct experience in owning or creating market development strategies including: conducting discovery assessments, generating market assessments and business cases, and developing go-to-market programs
• Experience selling / positioning Teradata, Oracle Exadata, Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Databricks, Cloudera, MapR, Hortonworks, Elasticsearch is preferred
• Strong data analytics technical knowledge with ability to go deep enough on technical aspects to differentiate between varied analytics approaches (data warehousing, Hadoop, operational analytics etc.).
• Working domain experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or related technologies
• MBA or other relevant advanced degree
• Cloud sales or solutions development experience
• Knowledge of the top ISVs and SIs in the Financial Services industry and their relevant offerings
