Data and Analytics – Power BI Admin – GIG

Power BI Admin

Role: We’re currently looking for an experienced Power BI Administrator to join our scrum team and support the design, development, and implementation of our Microsoft Power BI environment. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI Administration as it relates to optimizing our tenant data storage, Capacity Units, and data connection and security capabilities. In addition to supporting a re-architecture and re-platforming of Power BI, this resource should have the ability to guide and educate client team within Power BI to Administer the Platform properly.

Responsibility Summary:

 Configure and manage Power BI settings and resources.
 Measure and monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
 Collaborate with other teams to ensure that the system is running smoothly
 Provide 2nd and 3rd level support, guidance on best practices, and assist in product solutioning
 Communicates technical issues, to both a nontechnical and technical audience, with excellent customer service skills
 Support maintenance for developed data products with respect to enhancements and bug fixes
 Continually stay up to date with industry best practices, tool limitations and new feature introduction
 Estimate workload and participate in an Agile project team approach (JIRA, etc.)
 Partner with other Offshore resources to scale support and understanding across the team via documentation and process improvement supporting Power BI
 Provides support for license management and administration
 Able to focus on Automation of processes within Power BI, where applicable
