We provide reporting solutions/requirements through finance, markets and operations reporting along with cyclical and critical controlling processes such as Forecasting, Financial Planning, Revenue Planning, Markets Leadership Planning and Cash Reporting to help you take better business decisions. With projects like Mercury, we also support business transformation, and we are continuing to expand our services to support all Regions with their reporting and analytics needs.

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Intelligent Insights Specialist to join EY GDS ES Finance Reporting and Data Analytics team. The Intelligent Insights Specialist is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that inform business decisions. This role involves conducting comprehensive analytical analysis, creating compelling data visualizations, and communicating findings effectively to leadership teams across the globe. The specialist must possess a deep understanding of the business context and have robust financial domain knowledge to support strategic initiatives and enabling informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Insight Generation

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and objectives, ensuring alignment with business strategies
Perform in-depth analysis of complex data sets to extract meaningful insights.
Develop Financial, revenue, predictive models and conduct trend analysis to forecast business outcomes.
Lead comprehensive business segment reporting, encompassing sales, revenue, and market analysis.
Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources.

 Communication and Presentation

Translate complex analytical findings into clear, understandable, and actionable insights Leadership and for non-technical audiences.
Prepare and deliver presentations to leadership teams, providing data-driven recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address business questions and provide data insights.

Business and Financial Acumen

Understand the financial implications of data trends and patterns.
Collaborate with finance and business teams to align data insights with organizational goals.
Contribute to the team’s efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Stay abreast of industry trends, developments in business intelligence, data analytics and the competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.

Technical Proficiency

Design and create SQL queries, interpret advance SQL queries, and extract or manipulate data for reporting and analysis purposes.
Leverage Power BI for creating interactive reports and dashboards.
Employ advanced Excel skills for data analysis, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and charts
Apply statistical knowledge to validate models and improve decision-making (knowledge of statistical software or programming languages is a plus).

Documentation and Reporting

Document analytical methodologies and results in a clear and concise manner.
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to track key business indicators.
Ensure accurate and consistent reporting by adhering to data governance and best practices.

 

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in in computer science, information science, finance and data analytics, or related fields.
6 to 8 years of experience in financial reporting and analytics, with 6 + years of experience as a Power BI, SQL Server.  
Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
Detail-oriented with an unwavering commitment to accuracy and quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong documentation skills, with a keen eye for detail and organization.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving common goals.
