Job Title: Senior Disaster Recovery Manager

Job Description: 
We are seeking a Senior Disaster Recovery Manager with extensive hands-on experience in developing and managing cloud and On-Prem based disaster recovery strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing effective disaster recovery solutions, conducting risk assessments, and leading organizational preparedness against ransomware and other cyber threats.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and continuously improve disaster recovery strategies and plans to align with organizational objectives.
Design and implement robust disaster recovery solutions across on-prem, hybrid and multiple cloud services.
Perform comprehensive risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify and protect critical systems and applications.
Automate replication processes for virtual machines, data, and applications to ensure business continuity across on-prem, cloud regions and hybrid environments.
Configure and manage failover and failback procedures to ensure minimal downtime during disasters.
Regularly conduct disaster recovery drills to test and refine rapid response capabilities.
Collaborate with architects and engineers to seamlessly integrate disaster recovery into cloud infrastructure and application deployments.
Document all disaster recovery procedures, maintain up-to-date recovery plans, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Provide expert training and guidance to IT staff and stakeholders on best practices of disaster recovery.
Develop and uphold comprehensive ransomware prevention and recovery strategies, incorporating industry best practices.
Lead the creation of resilient backup (air-Gap, offsite) and recovery solutions to safeguard against ransomware attacks.
Conduct ongoing risk assessments and vulnerability scans to preempt potential ransomware threats.
Establish and refine incident response protocols for ransomware attacks, ensuring effective containment, eradication, and recovery.
Coordinate with IT teams to ensure disaster recovery plans are fortified against ransomware and other cyber threats.
Oversee the testing and validation of ransomware recovery procedures to guarantee organizational readiness.
Lead post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement in ransomware response and recovery efforts.
Familiarity with the latest cybersecurity trends and techniques, including ransomware remediation.

Required Hands-On Experience:

Possessing 10-12 years of professional experience, with at least 6 of those years dedicated to hands-on disaster recovery planning and execution.
Demonstrated experience with On-prem, Hybrid and any of the Cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and their respective disaster recovery tools.
Proficiency in automating replication and failover processes.
Strong experience in risk management, business impact analysis, and incident response planning.
Practical knowledge of cost optimization for disaster recovery solutions.
Experience in developing and executing disaster recovery drills and training programs.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Relevant certifications in cloud computing, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity (ISO 22301, ISO 27001, ISO 31000, CISSP, CDRE, Cloud Certifications etc.). 
ISO 22301 and ISO 27001 preferred.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership and project management abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
