Job Title: Accounting Specialist – Recharges & Allocation
Function/Sub Function: GDS ES Finance – Controlling
Position Summary: The position is to support US Finance team and perform accounting activities including recharges and cost allocation, budgeting and forecasting, reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts, managing overall cost allocation process, preparation of journal entries and review of financial controls in accordance with established policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Should have excellent knowledge of the key controlling processes including audit support, Cost Allocation, accounting, corporate finance, Budgeting and Forecasting of Expenses etc.
High proficiency in managing overall Cost Allocation process with Local / Global statutory compliance for selected country / region.
Need to ensure that financial transactions are booked in compliance with EYs accounting policies
Working closely and directly with US Finance Firmwide Accounting Leadership team to ensure Recharges and allocations related accounting has been accurately completed.
Supporting Leadership team with key data requirements for decision making
Basic knowledge about Cost Allocation concepts would be very helpful.
Need to work on Recharges & Allocations related to various costs, this includes processing the data, review, upload the data into system and post validations
Ability to team with people at all levels of the organization to deliver consistently high-quality work
Need to have good excel knowledge
Understanding of the business:
Understands NextWave strategy and applies constantly to analyse and advise on financial performance
Knowledgeable of EY capabilities and services
Education:
Graduate and/or professional certification in a business-related subject matter (i.e. Accounting, Finance) is required to perform this position.
Experience:
10+ years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting or Controlling
Experience in or knowledge of accounting within a professional services environment, including compliance and reporting
Strong experience with creating and analyzing financial statements
Strong experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Certification Requirements:
CA/ CPA or other professional certification is helpful.
