The opportunity
The role of the Analyst Relations (AR) team is to manage EY’s relationship and engagement with the industry analyst community, and drive the understanding of EY’s strategy, capabilities, and differentiation to advance the business objectives of our leaders in their markets.
Working as part of the global AR team, this position is responsible for leading the AR program for key areas within our Technology Consulting business. Reporting to the Analyst Relations Lead, this role will strengthen and accelerate the existing AR program, helping to:
Develop more strategic relationships with key industry analysts at firms like Gartner, Forrester, IDC and others
Provide management with strategic consultation on services
Partner with the sales enablement organization, assist in driving deals with analyst support
Collaborate with brand, marketing and communications to deliver content and programs to drive lead generation
Broaden visibility of the company, its strategy and core services
The position requires an excellent understanding of the professional services industry, and established relationships with industry analysts. Clear, concise and consistent communication skills are critical.
Your key responsibilities
Execute an AR engagement strategy and program to improve EY’s top-of-mind position with key analysts.
Actively build and maintain relationships with the analyst community, and be the ‘connective tissue’ between the business and analysts, enabling strong relationships
Manage participation in key analyst competitive assessment reports (for example, Gartner Magic Quadrants, Forrester Waves, and IDC MarketScapes) in collaboration with global leadership and marketing teams, as well as the global AR team. Facilitate the timely completion of all relevant deliverables including analyst briefings, surveys/RFI, and client reference requests.
Prepare spokespeople for analyst briefings. Facilitate prep calls, review key messages, talking points, slides; and host all analyst briefing calls and meetings.
Conduct analyst inquiry and coordinate strategic advisory sessions to support business objectives.
Advise leadership and internal teams about analyst views and industry trends.
Promote analyst reports, recognition and events externally via digital marketing. Leverage digital channels to build relationships and awareness with targeted analysts (e.g. engage with analysts on social media), and to support the communication objectives of the business.
Promote analyst reports and recognition internally, especially for use in sales.
Maintain activity trackers and manage ongoing reporting of progress against program objectives.
Lead knowledge sharing sessions and contribute to presentations for different parts of the business.
Bring best practices to the work, communicating these across the AR team to improve processes and engagement with the analyst community.
To qualify for the role, you must have
Graduate/Post-graduate in Management, Communications, business or technology
10+ years of experience in leading and managing Analyst Relations programs in the technology or professional services industry
Deep and strong relationships with top industry analysts
Excellent communication, writing, editing, and project management skills
Proven ability to work under tight deadlines with limited resources
Ability to multi-task and quickly prioritize projects and communicate priorities to stakeholders
Ability to work independently, while also being a great team player
Experience working in a matrixed, global environment
High level of energy, enthusiastic team player and dedication to excellence
A positive, flexible attitude with an unflustered style and collaborative nature
Ideally, you’ll also have:
An in-house or agency background and experience of working with corporate, financial or professional services organizations
Experience managing high-profile global events
