DESCRIPTION
Amazon’s ROW (Rest Of World) SHARP team is established with the mission to drive customer experience and cost improvement and support business growth in the countries in scope. ROW central team covers IN, JP and Emerging Countries (BR, MX, AMET, SG, AU). The Supply Chain Analytics team build up and monitor critical metrics across supply chain flow, and conducts advanced data analysis to identify system algorithm improvement opportunities. This team has worked with both local business team and multiple SCOT teams for years to bring data visibility, automate data solutions with key focus on fulfillment experience optimization, inventory placement, S&OP planning and inbound/removal etc. The BI role will be a dedicate resource for RoW countries to support the inventory placement BI requests along with network expansion and volume increase in coming years.
Key job responsibilities
SC Analytics team is looking for a customer-focused, detail-oriented, self-motivated, hands-on BIE for Placement . He/she would work closely with RoW countries on:
1) Metrics build-up/maintenance/bridge through the whole inventory placement life cycle, including inventory placement plan, generation, execution and benefit evaluation.
2) Translating business questions and concerns into specific analytical questions that can be answered with available data using Statistical methods.
3) Simulations and modeling with internal or external tools to study complex supply chain use cases on inventory placement and order fulfillment
4) Primary data owner for several key countries and work with country stakeholders on inventory placement related deep dive, call-outs to identify issue and opportunity from metrics performance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
– Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
– Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
– Bachelor’s degree
– Good logical thinking and also communication/documentation skill to translate metrics and data insight into business friendly language for broader team discussion and review.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
– Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis
– Master’s degree, or Advanced technical degree
