Job summary
DCCS (Digital Content and Commerce Service) team is hiring Application Engineers for DSOA team in Chennai. Our team is responsible for managing the digital pipelines and innovate to enhance the pipelines on behalf of our customers to help in growing the digital businesses. We build automations and self-service tools to improve our customer’s experience. We are responsible to set-up analytical systems to help our customers in making business decisions.

As an application engineer, you work with customers very closely, fix the platform or service issues and implement automations or self-service tools. Some of the key job functions of the senior application engineer are:
· Provide engineering solutions for customers on incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting and debugging, with responsibilities covering multiple domains and product lines.
· Read and understand complex application code and make code fixes to resolve customer issues
· You design and develop DSOA applications across web technologies, AWS and Java.

You think pro-actively and work to prevent issues before they are realized.
You fix customer problems by working with multiple teams and take steps to prevent them in future. You give SOPs to other team to handle the issues seamlessly.
You improve operational efficiency of the services through the identification of SLAs, metrics, monitors, procedures, tools and documentation.
You implement closed loop processes & audit mechanisms to identify issues pro-actively and take actions to prevent customer issues.
You work closely with Dev and Partner teams to improve/stabilize the services & prioritize fixes to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
You design and develop scripts and applications to improve customer’s experience and the services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of development or technical support experience
Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
Experience in Unix
Experience scripting in modern program languages

B.E. in Computer Science or a related field.
2+ years overall technical support experience.
Experienced in working with multiple stakeholders for new tooling or automation requirements, implementation or any migration.
Proven track record in working on large scale multiple tier applications.
Development Experience in AWS/Java or open source based technologies. Understanding of XML/SOAP, web services, web application development, and industry-standard commerce systems.
Demonstrated experience in Perl or shell scripts, a sound understanding of web technologies.
Detailed knowledge of the UNIX/Linux operating system and tools.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues in complex Enterprise Level applications.
Demonstrated skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellence.
