EY- Assurance – Senior Manager
As part of our EY-Assurance Team, you would be the main point of contact from GDS for the tasks assigned by the global client serving assurance teams and be responsible for the timeliness and quality of deliverables along with managing day to day operations of those engagements.
The opportunity
We’re looking for individuals who can leverage their knowledge and experience to lead a team of staffs, seniors and managers delivering exceptional client service on a portfolio of assurance engagements (focusing on one of the FS sectors – asset management, banking, insurance). The role will cover business development, overall responsibility for specific key clients, risk management, project and stakeholder relationship management and performance management of the team. The incumbent should have assurance experience in financial service sectors. In addition to supporting the service delivery for several key clients, the candidate should have the ability to coach managers in the FS sector, provide technical support, deliver industry training and assist in the growth of the practice.
Your key responsibilities
Manage and develop people
Be an effective people manager by empowering, monitoring, coaching and motivating the team members
Identify development opportunities and training needs for high performing managers
Conduct Assurance team’s performance reviews, serve as a positive leader and mentor, and play a significant role in the team’s performance
Manage business and clients
Work closely with GD Partners/Executive Directors on the growth agenda and related projects
Gain an understanding of GDS offerings across Service lines and Sub-service lines in order to promulgate a one GDS approach to stakeholders
Influence EY executives to transition new engagements and services to GDS Assurance
Develop and maintain strong relationship network with key contacts in the local engagement teams
Actively support the Sector agenda both in terms of growth and quality initiatives (e.g. improvement of service delivery, standardization of projects, new solutions, etc.)
Support the Sector Leader in developing annual growth targets and resource planning
Monitor KPIs (e.g. growth, quality feedback, utilization, risk management compliance, people matters) for your team and take appropriate action required
Manage quality of service delivery
Identify sector-specific training needs
Gain an in-depth understanding of EY’s suite of digital assurance tools (cloud technology, data analytics and RPA) and enable adoption by your team
Assist in co-facilitating technical training (both Sector and assurance-related methodology)
Monitor and help resolve any quality issues on a real time basis
Support exceptional service delivery action programs

International and FS sector experience will be an added advantage
To qualify for the role, you must have
Qualified Indian Chartered Accountant, ACCA or CPA with minimum of 10 years of Assurance / FS Sector experience
Ideally, you’ll also have
Proficiency in MS – Excel, MS – Office.
Interest in business and commerciality.
