SQL Server DBA with Cloud Admin
Job summary for 3 Seniors(Experience 3-7 Years)
Skills/Work Experience
Minimum four years Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016 DBA experience.
Experience supporting multiple production, qa and development servers
Good Transact SQL skills – ability to write and tune complicated stored procedures and views utilizing inner and outer joins, etc.
Experience with large databases (> 250 GB)
Experience supporting SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016 replication
Experience in new installation, upgrade, configuration of SQL Server and its components
Performance tuning
Must have Cloud Experience on any Cloud ( Azure/AWS) with Azure preferred.
3- 5 years client server experience with emphasis on SQL programming
Experience recovering databases after hardware or other catastrophic failures
Good customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
B.S/B.E (Computer Science or Equivalent)
Preferred Skills (a plus but not required)
General knowledge of Windows 2008/2012/2016 and hardware
Experience with supporting and developing SSIS packages
Experience with Analysis Services cubes and dimensions
Experience with Windows Power Shell
Experience with database performance tool – Solarwinds, Foglight, SQL Profiling
Familiarity of one of the programming languages and application development
Experience with other database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures availability, security, integrity, and performance of databases.
Recommends and implements data models and database designs that support efficient data access.
Exercises critical thinking and problem-solving when resolving database performance, capacity, replication, and other data issues.
Install and configure database management software and applicable options, packs and patches while adhering industry standards.
Collaborates with developers and programmers to understand the potential architectural impacts of different database strategies and coding practices.
Develop and implement database deliverables, such as conceptual designs, logical designs, capacity planning, external data interface specifications, data loading plans, data maintenance plans, and security policies.
Builds IT solutions to meet the business needs while maintaining a focus on enterprise goals and integration strategies.
Partners with Business Teams to assess how technologies can best streamline processes and/or add business value.
Participates in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Follow industry best practices and standards in all database areas.
Analyzes long-term database performance trends to optimize database and application performance.
Configure, support, and optimize replication.
