EY- Technology Risk– MS D365 Staff

As part of our EY- Technology Risk team you’ll contribute technically to IT Risk and Assurance client engagements and internal projects. An important part of your role will be to actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. You’ll also identify potential business opportunities for Ernst & Young within existing engagements and escalate these as appropriate. Similarly, you’ll anticipate and identify risks within engagements and share any issues with staff members of the team.

We’re looking for candidates at Staff level to join the leadership group of our EY-Technology Risk Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

Your key responsibilities are to

Participate in IT Risk and Assurance engagements focused on Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft D365 systems.
Collaborate effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing technical support, and maintaining open communication with colleagues and clients regarding project progress.
Assist in preparing audit reports and risk assessments, delivering key findings to clients and stakeholders.
Build and maintain productive relationships with onshore teams and client personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
Identify, assess, and test IT security risks and controls (e.g., data systems, networks, applications) in Microsoft Dynamics AX and D365 environments.
Engage closely with cross-functional teams across the organization, fostering strong professional relationships and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Stay updated with the latest versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft D365, industry best practices, and system functionalities.
Deliver high-quality, value-driven outcomes on client engagements with a focus on technical and business risk.

Skills and attributes for success

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft D365: Hands-on experience in IT general control (ITGC) testing, focusing on domains such as access management, change management, computer operations, and system development life cycle (SDLC).
Security and Configuration Testing: Proficiency in assessing system configurations, including security roles, access architecture, and key user permissions in Dynamics AX/D365 environments.
Implementation and Migration Testing: Experience performing pre- and post-implementation reviews in Dynamics AX and Microsoft D365, as well as migration testing during system upgrades.
Data Extraction Knowledge: Familiarity with extracting data from Dynamics AX/D365 systems for ITGC and ITAC (IT application control) testing purposes.
Access Security Architecture: In-depth knowledge of security and authorization frameworks within Microsoft Dynamics AX and D365, including roles, profiles, and authorizations.
Middleware and Interface Controls: Experience in testing controls between multiple systems and evaluating middleware controls.
Audit and Compliance Expertise: Knowledge of IT auditing within financial audits, applying industry regulations, standards (SOX, J-SOX), and control frameworks (COSO, COBIT).
Control Frameworks: Strong understanding of IT governance, control, and assurance frameworks, and familiarity with third-party attestation standards (SSAE16/18).
Walkthrough and Operational Effectiveness: Experience in performing walkthroughs (Test of Design) directly with clients and ensuring operating effectiveness of key controls.
Business Process Knowledge: Exposure to key business process configurations in Dynamics AX and D365, including ITAC configurations related to financial processes (e.g., 3-way match).
Interface Testing and Middleware: Experience in testing interface controls between different systems and validating middleware in an ERP environment.

To qualify for the role, you must have

B.E/B.Tech in CS/IT or MBA (preferably in Information Systems) or CA with at least 3 years of experience. 
MS D365 functional modules certification (Preferred). 

CISA certification (Preferred). 

ISO 27001:2013 certification (Preferred). 

Any other relevant IT audit or security certification (Preferred).
