TAX – GCR – Global Compliance & Reporting :

EY has competencies in Business Tax Services, Global Compliance and Reporting, Global Law, Indirect Tax, International Tax and Transaction Services.
Your key responsibilities
Technical Excellence
Handling day to day tax compliance for multiple FPI clients; which would include uploading of transactions and incomes into the database;
Review of the transactions uploaded and generation of tax computations to be mailed out to the clients and custodian banks;
Responding to client and custodian queries relating to transactions entered into by the clients and the tax computations issued for the same;
Interactions with multiple custodian banks/ brokers and agents of the client for seeking information/ clarifications with regards to the clients transaction activities in India;
Studying various corporate actions undertaken by the companies in the Indian capital market, which impact the client, giving effect to the same on the database and preparation of tax computations for the clients;
Formulation of computations and templates to be used across all clients;
Periodical review and reconciliation of all transactions entered into by the FPI clients with the custodian records
Year end review of transactions and finalising the computation of taxable income for the FPI clients for the puroposes of filing the return of income
Skills and attributes
To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following core skills:
Strong ability to communicate fluently in English and adapt communications to various audiences, both internal and external
Breakdown barriers of delivery with well thought out challenges and escalations if needed
Personal accountability to adhere and comply with all processes set around the FPI business
Ability to collaborate across teams, build trust
Strong working knowledge or experience with large excel files and knowledge of macros and formulations
Extensive experience in reviewing large numerical figures and working with large data files
Maintain client confidentiality, independence and not trade on stock markets based on client information
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or equivalent, work experience with capital market intermediaries or equivalent work experience
2 – 3 years work experience with capital market intermediaries or equivalent work experience
Work experience in a professional services industry, preferred
Significant work experience with Microsoft applications and computational softwares
Flexibility to work outside typical hours, as required
Flexibility to travel on a very limited basis
