Requirements:
4-6 Years of Experience as a business analyst on regulatory reporting in WAM sectors. Exposure to US based asset management or fund administration firm will be an addon.
Good understanding of Asset Management, Fund Accounting, Fund Administration, Fund Structures.
Experience in performing Validations, Reconciliations, Control checks and understanding of General Adjustment processes would be a plus.
General understanding of US GAAP, IFRS.
Good understanding of Mutual Funds, Private Equity Funds, Hedge Funds, Derviatives, Equities, asset types.
Should possess deep knowledge of financial products (Equity, Commodities, Currencies, Rates, Cash and Credit).
Drafting and maintaining business requirements documents (BRDs) for financial product accounting events; processes (e.g., process flows) across the financial product lifecycle.
Drafting and maintaining data requirements, data flows, data lineage.
Drafting and maintaining reporting requirements across SEC, Regulatory, and Management reporting for financial products.
Modeling of financial instruments to verify system generated calculations of accounting events.
Configuring and maintaining accounting methods and posting rules for all relevant accounting events.
Development of test cases for each accounting event. Researching and resolving test defects within the software functionality.
Working closely with software vendor subject matter experts to implement new functionality and/or troubleshoot problems.
Assisting project managers in developing schedules and budgets for workstream.
Should be versatile and have a good understanding of working with Technology platforms/frameworks/tools.
