Position overview
As a Data and Business Analyst EY, you will play a pivotal role in turning data into actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and visualising data, while working closely with cross-functional teams to provide valuable business insights.
Your key responsibilities
Data Collection and Preparation:
Gather data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, digital communication platforms and external systems.
Clean, transform, and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency, using tools such as excel and Alteryx.
Data Analysis:
Perform statistical analysis and generate reports to identify trends and patterns.
Develop predictive and prescriptive models to support business decisions.
Conduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questions.
Data Visualisation:
Create interactive and informative dashboards using tools such as PowerBI.
Communicate insights through data visualizations, charts, and graphs.
Translate complex data into easy-to-understand and compelling visual formats.
Reporting and Presentation:
Prepare and present regular reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Summarise findings, derive insights, and make actionable recommendations.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with departments across the organisation to understand their data needs.
Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure data supports their objectives.
Software Proficiency:
Utilise advanced Excel skills to perform in-depth data analysis.
Harness Alteryx to automate data processing and integration tasks.
Develop interactive and insightful reports using PowerBI.
Gather data from multiple data sources including Marketo, Sprinklr, and Adobe Analytics.
Skills and attributes for success
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Statistics, Data Science).
Relevant certifications in data analysis, insights or business intelligence.
Proven experience in data analysis, insights, business intelligence, or a related role.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency in PowerBI for data visualisation and reporting.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple projects.
Proactive mindset and go-getter attitude.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Preferred but non-essential experience:
Proficiency in Alteryx for data preparation and automation.
Deep understanding of digital channel data frameworks including Adobe Analytics, Sprinklr, and CRM systems – Marketo is highly preferrable.
Experience within marketing insights, research, or digital environments.
Team Leadership: A motivational team player adaptable during peak periods.
