The opportunity

In response to the evolving regulatory landscape, such as the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Law, the UK and Australia Modern Slavery Acts, and the forthcoming Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), EY’s Environmental Social Governance Services Team is expanding. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented ESG Supplier Due Diligence Supervising Associate to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing and enhancing our environmental supplier due diligence to ensure compliance and promote sustainable procurement practices.

 

Your key responsibilities

Support the Sustainable Procurement Lead in conducting comprehensive ESG supplier assessments, audits, and supplier relationship management.
Collaborate in the coordination and execution of global ESG risk assessments.
Innovate and refine the Sustainable Sourcing Framework to guide EY sourcing activities effectively.
Assist in evaluating the ESG components of RFP responses and supplier onboarding processes, including deep dive assessments.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and standards to ensure EY’s practices are compliant.
Contribute to the consolidation and creation of detailed sustainability reports, emphasizing global and regional initiatives.
Support the organization and delivery of Responsible Sourcing Week and other educational events for suppliers and EY staff.

To be successful in the role you should demonstrate:
A keen interest in environmental and social sustainability, with an understanding of current regulations and standards.
Familiarity with sustainable sourcing or procurement protocols.
Proven ability to conduct ESG supplier assessments and analyze results.
Strong analytical skills, with experience in data presentation and report writing.
Research capabilities to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, supply chain management, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in sustainability or procurement are advantageous.
Global mind and high level of cultural awareness.
Strong team player with ability to work collaboratively, virtually and independently as part of a team at regional and global level.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Proficient at Excel, Word and PowerPoint presentation creation.
Good organizational skills, proficient communication and presentation skills.
Project management experience.
Strong analytical skills and ability to present to stakeholders.
