Job Summary
The role holder will be able to define and lead consulting engagements – in the supply chain domain and play an industry expert role in major transformation programmes in our “Consumer” domain and consulting (Retail, Distribution, Consumer Goods, Transportation, Logistics, Hospitality and Travel) client portfolio. The role holder will enable the opening of new engagements, execute programs, drive the adoption of innovative solutions and build / contribute to the supply chain domain practice.
Location
This hire can be based in any US city where Wipro has an office. S/He will need to travel as required, and travel may vary significantly based on the executive’s home location and other factors.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities will include:
Consulting Strategy, growth and execution: Focus on growing Consulting revenues and winning strategic, higher margin projects. Help in creating new business opportunities & new business wins (pipeline and order book). Lead delivery of process and domain consulting engagements across the supply chain domains – Warehousing, Transportation, Logistics, Network planning, demand planning, order management, inventory management and other SCM areas
Business Growth: The role holder is expected to shape, lead & drive transformation engagements by working closely with CXOs, the consulting / business leaders and internal Wipro product/practice/technology teams. The individual is also expected to lead consulting workshops to craft future state functional and solution roadmaps.
Solutions: Support the identification and definition of differentiated services and solutions for various industry process areas within the consumer sectors. Support the creation of cutting-edge solution showcases to be demonstrated across Wipro’s innovation centers.
Thought Leadership: Be a contributor to Wipro’s voice in the market and move towards being recognized as a thought leader in industry forums, partner events and customer interlocks. Publish and present on a range of forward-looking topics around various supply chain business functions, across the consumer sectors.
Partnerships: Nurture ecosystem partnerships in key focus areas based on product evaluation/due diligence with the objective of building knowledge and networks e.g. trade bodies, practitioner forums, industry networks etc.

Personal Drive: Entrepreneurial drive with a can-do attitude and a strong desire to win
Leadership & Interpersonal skills: Ability to lead and shape client opportunities, working with diverse Wipro and client teams. Build relationships with clients and partners, motivate internal teams and achieve results
Thought Leadership: Experience in engaging with industry leaders & analysts, and evidence of published POVs is an extra asset
Qualifications Required
Minimum 18 years’ experience, preferably across Transportation, Logistics, Retail, Distribution and Consumer goods companies – with the past 5 years managing major programmes or strategic consulting assessment projects
Exposure to tier-1 clients in the consumer sector industries. Deep sector expertise in two or more Retail sectors (e.g., Grocery, Fashion, Department Stores) and/or CPG sectors (e.g., Food & Beverages, Apparel & Fashion, Health & Personal Care and Agribusiness) and/or Transportation and Logistics sectors (e.g., Freight, Parcel Logistics, Public Transportation, Postal services). Exposure across the industries will be an advantage.
Functional expertise, based on recent client implementations or solution evaluations in at least four of the following areas: Logistics supply chain, Transportation management, Warehouse Management, Demand Planning, Network planning, Order management
Exposure to tier 1 commercial packaged products and/or platforms that focus on the above functional areas, e.g., SAP/Oracle, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, Anaplan, Kinaxis, Infor, LogiNext, O9, LLamasoft.
