The athenaOne (EMR Systems Analyst) position is responsible for supporting, reviewing, analyzing, enhancing, and modifying the athenaOne Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This can include user support, user training, application configuration, application testing, debugging and updates of application systems. While the primary application to be supported by this position is the organization’s EMR, collaboration around other IT applications and initiatives is also required.
• Support clinic migrations from legacy EHRs to athenaOne implementations; including foundational build activities for athenaOne Collector, Communicator, and Clinicals
• Expertise in at least one module of athenaOne: Clinicals, Collector, and/or Communicator
• Configure athenaOne systems as directed and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Utilize expertise to recommend enhanced the functionality and efficiency of athenahealth systems; improve processes and workflows.
• Collaborate with application vendors to address issues, implement upgrades, and facilitate system enhancements.
• Lead efforts in EMR modification, testing, and version upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• Identify and rectify data integrity issues within the EMR database, implementing solutions to maintain accuracy and reliability.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation and upgrade documentation for end-users.
• Provide backup support for IT issues requiring urgent attention, as necessary.
• Performs related duties, as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field(s) preferred
• 2 years of Clinical healthcare background required.
• Minimum of 2 years of technology and athenaOne EMR experience, including hands-on technical experience.
• Extensive knowledge of EMR’s and enterprise software applications.
• Good working knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office Products.
• Strong communication skills with effective results focused within an information systems environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures, and guidelines to support operational processes related to EMR.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
• Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
