EY-Infrastructure Advisory – Strategy and Transactions – Manager
The team is part of EY Global Delivery Services (GDS), SaT. As a part of GDS Infrastructure Advisory team, we support EY Global Infrastructure Advisory Practices on engagement delivery and Business Development support across the Transport, Health and Human Services and Power & Utilities sectors with a focus on consulting services in infrastructure projects service delivery.
The GDS IA team is part of the Economics Advisory and Infrastructure Advisory (EA-IA) team and focusses on both the government and private sector. With Economics also added as a part of EA-IA, the team supports all activities across the Infrastructure value chain predominantly before Financial Close. Additionally, the team works a lot with the IA practices of Oceania, US, Canada, UKI, Western Europe and Maghreb (WEM) along with Singapore. As a part of service delivery, the team is responsible for undertaking the following set of activities:
Government sector:
Bid evaluation support including financial capacity analysis, ad hoc financial analysis, techno commercial analysis
PPP research for policy development and documentation
Business Cases and Cost benefit analysis
Survey collation, analysis
Financial modelling and analysis – building and reviewing long term project finance models
Adhoc research
Business Development support in terms of proposals and pre-sales research
Private sector
Engagement based research

The opportunity
The EY GDS SaT Infrastructure Advisory team is seeking an experienced Infrastructure sector professional with exceptional writing and financial analysis to join our team. The individual will support engagements and business development initiatives in the transport, health and human services and power and utilities sectors. A key part of the role will be to maintain strong communication with the practice offices and keep them informed of our evolving service offerings in order to drive growth, and willingness to understand the local policy and market environment of client offices they serve.
Your key responsibilities
As a senior member of the sector practice at Infrastructure Advisory, the person would:
Responsible for growing/managing a region from a revenue perspective (targets)
Leading engagement delivery and BD support related engagements for various practice offices
Be responsible for leading client interactions, maintaining an exceptional quality of deliverables, building relationships and support onshore practices in generating new business within the transport, health and human services (healthcare, urban development, education and tourism) and power & utilities
Take responsibility for driving improvements in the team’s understanding of requirements across key competency and sectors, and translate this into consistently high-quality deliverables
Assist the practice offices with all forms of high-quality deliverables related to Go to Market material and proposals such as:
Industry Primers
Thought leadership articles and PoVs
Account tracking
Deal Tracking
Opportunity Papers/Strategic Insight Papers/Company profiles
Teasers
Proposals
Desktop sector research
Company Infopacks/Pitch-books
Benchmarking studies across key indicators
From a financial analysis perspective, the candidate should be able to assist the practice offices with all forms of high-quality deliverables such as:
Financial statement analysis
Ratio analysis
Manage a team of 6-7 people and act as a counsellor for team members by being responsible for their performance appraisal
Maintain strong communications with the clients in practice offices through email, skype, video conferences and any others form of communication
Measure, monitor and improve client service by closely collaborating with the client and guiding team members and driving excellence in service delivery
Managing billing for respective projects from that region
Manage workflow within the team including work allocation, adherence to timelines and quality reviews
Identify L&D requirements of counselees
Travel on assignments abroad, as required

9-10 years of
Demonstrated experience of working in either infrastructure (transport, logistics, real estate, health and human services or power and utilities sectors
Deep understanding of the private infrastructure sector, including core infrastructure that includes Transport, Power and Utilities and Renewables, Healthcare, Logistics, Construction and Real estate. The candidate should be able to demonstrate expertise in at least one of these areas and a willingness to expand their knowledge across others.
Exceptional business writing and research skills, with experience of writing Thought Leadership papers, Point of views, Articles etc.
Strong financial analysis skill and hands-on experience in analysing financial statements of infrastructure projects and infrastructure companies.
Ability to think strategically about the go-to-market approach for different infrastructure sectors. This includes understanding the competitive landscape, identifying target clients, and developing tailored strategies to engage them.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, supporting the on-shore team and collaborating with colleagues across different functions and geographies.
The infrastructure sector is constantly evolving, so candidates must be adaptable and able to quickly learn new information and skills.
Hands-on experience in preparing business proposals for C-suites of Infrastructure companies
To qualify for the role, you must have
Minimum of a Post Graduate in Management / MBA from a reputed college / University. Specialization in Finance / Power / Infrastructure Management will be preferred or MBA in Finance
or a degree in Chartered Accountancy
Demonstrated experience of producing high quality written deliverables, particularly in a business case or policy development context
Experience of 9-11 years in research and business development in a similar role for Infrastructure and P&U
