M365 Platform Engineer – Senior 1/2
EY GDS Consulting digital engineering, is seeking an experienced Senior M365 platform engineer with a strong focus on Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager to join our CMS Consulting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of our service offering.
The opportunity
We are looking for resources having at least 5 years of experience in M365 engineering/administration, with a deep understanding of Intune and MS entra functionalities. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
Your key responsibilities
Produces high-quality solution or infrastructure deliverables in accordance with project timelines and specifications, using sound designing and analytical skills
Performs configuration, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the implementation process contributing to complex aspects of a project
Maintains and enhances systems by fixing complicated errors, raising risks and escalating issues where necessary
Works with users to capture detailed requirements, translating designs and solution architecture into design specifications
Monitors and reports on potential risks/opportunities of emerging technologies, and seeks areas for continuous improvement
Ensures all activities adhere to the relevant processes, procedures, standards, and technical design
Develop and promote best practices for usage, operations, and development
Strong analytical and communication skills with intense drive to learn and adopt.
Intune Administration: Lead the configuration, deployment, and management of Intune for device management, application deployment, and endpoint security.
MS Entra Expertise: Utilize Microsoft Endpoint Manager for unified endpoint management, including configuration, deployment, and monitoring of devices across the organization.
M365 Tenant Configuration: Configure and maintain Microsoft 365 tenants, including user provisioning, licensing, and security settings.
Compliance Management: Implement and enforce compliance policies and procedures within Microsoft 365, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company standards.
Microsoft Defender: Administer Microsoft Defender solutions to protect against threats across endpoints, email, identities, and cloud applications, integrating with Intune and MS entra for comprehensive security.
Hybrid Scenarios: Manage hybrid environments, bridging on-premises infrastructure with cloud services, and ensuring seamless integration and functionality with Intune and MS entra.
Skills and attributes
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in Information Technology with Expertise in tenant configuration, SharePoint administration, compliance management, Defender, Azure AD, greenfield enablement, hybrid scenarios, MAM, MDM, Intune, and MS entra.
Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or equivalent, are desirable.
Expertise in Intune configuration, deployment, and management for device and application management, Azure Virtual desktop, as well as endpoint security.
Microsoft Defender skills for Threat Detection and Response, Endpoint Security, Email security, Cloud application security, integrating M365 services, Policy configuration …
Experience in implementing compliance policies and procedures within Microsoft 365.
Extensive experience implementing and maintaining SCCM, Intune used for Microsoft and 3rd party patch management managed mass software deployments and application self-service portal.
Experience in multiple technologies including Microsoft operating systems (Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 7, Vista), H.P. P.C.s and Laptops, Endpoint Security and Encryption
Business acumen to understand the impact of changes and services disruptions to operations
Functional Knowledge of infrastructure and application technologies and how they relate to delivery and maintenance of services such as LAN/WAN, Messaging, Mobility, Printing
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex technical problems with team members, customers, and vendors quickly and effectively. Experience with operating system migrations, Windows Vista / 7 / 10 (x32 / x64) .
