As a Program Manager for Shipping and Region Authority, (SARA), you will work closely with Product Managers and Business Intelligence Engineers to drive data-driven decision-making and use broad skills to build analytics and reporting capabilities.
We are a global organization working with business teams across all Amazon marketplaces. This team influences the customer ordering experience with products that model shipping, transportation and regional capabilities for all products across all amazon markets.
The teams vision is to exponentially simplify the ability for Amazon businesses and its partners to build regionally-contextual initiatives and to enable a customer experience that allows for a seamless shopping experience, from product discovery to purchase, based on their location, program eligibility, and delivery options.
This role involves driving critical decisions with cross functional teams and senior leadership and demands strong program management skills along-with an ability to drive data driven discussions. This position involves regular communication with Operation Teams, senior management, Tech teams, and project sponsors on status, risks and change control. The candidate is expected to have exceptional analytical, planning and written/verbal communication skills along with preferred experience in Project and Stakeholder management.

Key job responsibilities
– Manage full lifecycle of complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact across multiple organizations
– Development of the overall program strategy, tactically driving teams in and outside of your organization to deliver
– Solve real life business problems by data analytics using big data
– Collaborate with business users on requirements, objectives and measures
– Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects
– Propose business metrics and perform data analysis for untouched areas. Find and merge dispersed data sources for reporting and deep-dive.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of program or project management experience
– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
– Experience working cross functionally with tech teams
– 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
– Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
