DESCRIPTION
Fire TV powers a wide range of smart TVs across the world on many different brands and we are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to lead new device introductions and software initiatives. We drive the coordinated effort to launch FireTV programs, with both Amazon internal teams and 3P partners and in this role you will oversee the successful development, launch and sustaining of FireTV programs.
The role is inherently cross-functional: you will work closely with a high-energy team of software engineers, product managers, marketers, customer service leads as well as many external partners (inc. device manufacturers, brand & retailers).
This role is a good fit for someone who is organized, thrives in a dynamic environment, and understands the diverse perspectives of stakeholders to deliver complex programs.
The ideal candidate is passionate about product development, interested in TV & video entertainment domain, with an established track of delivering consumer electronic products.
About the team
As FireTV launch team, we manage the lifecycle of the FireTV cross-functional programs, we act as the voice of our programs, being the primary point of contact for the product development and launch, and ensuring the right level of communication up to VP level.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of software development experience
– 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
– 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
– Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
– Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
