DESCRIPTION
Amazon’s Worldwide Health & Safety (WHS) Central Programs-INDIA team is seeking a skilled and motivated WHS Program Manager to assist in the tactical management and execution of the WHS programs worldwide. CPT IN team works on programs to drive injury prevention, risk management, machine safety, power industrial trucks, process safety management and supporting initiatives for the WW WHS Engineering team. In addition, team works with WW Compliance Team on compliance management, WHS regulatory research, and WHS data analytics.
We are looking for Program Manager who is passionate about managing projects, developing scalable systems, driving process improvement, and can work with multiple teams. They will be responsible for partnering with the WW WHS team, work on Amazon’s global standards, policies, and procedures and build processes to drive continuous improvement initiatives to create safe workplace to our Associates. The program manager must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise, and consistent written and verbal messages. They will be required to identify best practices and incorporate these best practices into our WHS standards to continuously improve the processes. The individual must have the ability to manage assigned programs and work with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership in across the globe.

• Develops Standard Operating Procedures to deliver their projects.
• Finds scalable and quick solutions to deliver changing stakeholder requirements.
• Improves process TPH using AI based solutions like automation/ LLM in their projects
• Provide high level insights through complex data and statistical analysis for BUs.
• Develop whitepapers to propose scalable solutions towards WHS goals.

• Communicates effectively to align team members with Worldwide WHS stakeholder requirements.

Key job responsibilities
• Possess working/professional understanding on the WHS aspects of the Machines/ Operations, Compliance Management, incident and other data analysis and able to communicate critical observations and provide, recommendations to WHS Programs ensuring safer workplace.
• Able to development/review applicable WHS policies, procedures and business practices.
• Able to understand the problem statements of the WHS stakeholders and translates them into simple, scalable and sustainable proposal.
• Enable WHS data driven effective decision making and actionable insights.
• Able to utilize and enhance different WHS data management portals, dashboards and online tools.
• Ability to demonstrate have backbone disagree and commit by escalating, discussing and presenting critical problems and implement solutions.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written, to updates during daily/weekly/ monthly business review meetings, including progress and roadblocks.
• Owns WHS KPIs, metrics, reports, and analysis of assigned programs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
– 3+ years of program or project management experience
– Computer skills for use of digital tools for project management, document control and data visualization (Advanced MS Excel, Sharepoint, Quicksight)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– PMP certification /Lean, Six Sigma analytical techniques (green or yellow belt)
– Other Program/Project Management related short term courses/ certifications.
– Competent business and technical Amazon writing skills.
– Has experience with LLM, SQL, AI based tools, tools for Automation, etc
