DESCRIPTION As PM Line Haul for the AMXL network, you will be responsible for executing carrier operations for the assigned region. The role is part of Line Haul operations team. You will work closely with internal stakeholders including AMXL Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers & Last Mile operations team and external stakeholders like vendors and carriers. We are looking for individuals with proven ability to drive process improvements & ability to keep pace with our explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline driven environment. The individual should have a can-do attitude and an ability to solve problems independently with limited guidance. Your role will involve managing operational metrics, lead continuous improvement initiatives, manage carrier relationships and plan for any changes in network. Roles & Responsibilities · · Manage the weekly creation and daily management of the line haul schedule and associated systems · Transportation carrier performance management, such as on-time truck performance, placements · Management and Liaising with Co-Loading vendors · Tracking existing metrics to detect & remove any defects · Continuous Improvement Management with carriers, as well as development of SOPs · Lead carrier relationships with senior leaders for 1-2 carriers directly · Plan scale up of capacities for peak.Assisting with project support, ensuring Amazon’s requirements, guidelines and policies are communicated and executed by Transportation carriers.Lead initiatives on network speed, DFI and reliability for your region.Maintain and improve communication between Amazon and external carrier, stepping in to mediate wherever necessary.Understand industry landscape and assess impact on operations and plan changes BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of program or project management experience- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience- Bachelor’s degree- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
