Learning Exp Designer II
Amazon Finance Operations Global Accounts Receivable – GAR Academy is looking for a Learning Experience Designer II to create, execute and manage effective training and communication strategies for the business. The ideal candidate must be self-driven with a high degree of ownership and have good business acumen, good communication skills, and planning/program management skills. They must thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a demonstrated capacity to balance speed and quality. Learning Experience Designer II will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of information design for L&D team. The Learning Experience Designer II will work closely with SME’s, channel leads, product, engineering and other stakeholders to create impactful content, training approach and manage communications for launches, enhancements and improvements. The role requires an individual who is knowledgeable in adult learning and instructional design strategies for performance-based outcomes, who can innovate, and move quickly. It would be an added advantage if the candidate is an good writer/content developer with the ability to convey complex ideas and information in easy-to-read, easy-to-follow, customer-focused narratives. The successful candidate has extensive research, project management, and adult education experience.

Job Responsibilities:
• Produce learning design plans that include content in different formats for different channels. Devise content strategy for new learning pathways and topics based on research, content gaps, and existing content performance.
• Proactively anticipate AR needs, investigate underlying issues, and create short and long-term education solutions.
• Lead projects through the design lifecycle from scoping, research and analysis, design, development, and launch; providing clear timelines through all phases, communicating with key partners, and selecting appropriate measurement for successful implementation.
• Develop Story Boards for Prototypes/Pilots. Set instructional end goals, create engaging learning activities and compelling course content.
• Responsible for the quality of content across various internal team wikis and other documents. Perform self-reviews and ensure process adherence.
• Work with trainers, other LXDs and subject matter experts to address gaps in content coverage, identify target audiences training needs and ask great questions to advocate user experience.
• Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process. Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.).
• Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course.
• Communicates effectively in visual, oral, and written form with basic knowledge on authoring style guidelines.
• Designs learning that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners, including the demonstrated understanding of cultural differences that may apply.
• Experienced in managing various Learning/Knowledge/Content Management systems.
• Knowledge in writing Standard Operating Procedures and other documentation formats like user guides, user manuals, and help guides.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 10 + years of relevant experience in Instructional Design, curriculum development
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritize, manage, and complete projects with tight deadlines
• Experience conducting a training needs analysis to identify the core problem to be solved in order to achieve desired business results
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and measure the impact of learning interventions
• Experience with online training development software such as Articulate Storyline, Captivate, ispring and multimedia software like Vyond, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite. Full Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Familiar with industry trending Learning/Content management systems like CSOD, WordPress, SuccessFactors etc.
• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor / Master’s Degree preferably in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Learning Technology, or a related field
• Experience developing training for applications & tools
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a global environment
• Experience using Web-based Learning Platforms, Social Learning, Gamification and with the use of Multimedia
• Experience in program management, process improvement and/or operations in a Financial Operations Customer Service environment
• Adept at stakeholder management, setting and managing expectations, risks & mitigations
• Familiar with the Amazon brand and shopping experience
