DESCRIPTION
Prime Video’s Asia Pacific (PV APAC) Finance team is looking for a Finance Manager for regional Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). The role requires both domain knowledge of FP&A processes, as well as a sound understanding of business drivers that impact headline goals and financials. This role partners PV APAC senior leaders closely in tracking PV’s business performance across major locales in the region and deals with complexity in terms of: (a) breadth of business / financial information to be assimilated across multiple market segments, and businesses at different stages of evolution; (b) autonomously working with cross-functional teams in countries and globally and acting as the first point of contact on business performance for senior leaders; and (c) depth of strategic analysis and insights to drive actions amongst regional and country leadership teams. This is an individual contributor role and will be based in Mumbai, India (BOM13).
Key job responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
(1) Executive Communications:
• Partner regional Vice President and Finance Director in reviewing country plans and performance to diagnose business health, synthesize priorities and assess performance through insightful analysis and concise commentary
• Be the spokesperson for APAC team to handle queries from PV International business / finance leadership and communicate global priorities / asks from them to regional leadership
(2) Planning:
• Lead end-to-end planning mechanisms through the year (3-year forecast, Operating Plan, Quarterly Guidance) including program management and communications with country, regional and international stakeholders
• Maintain controllership over APAC headcount budgets and region-wide cost lines in the P&L (e.g. people, technology, general administration), including share of worldwide costs allocated to APAC
(3) Reporting:
• Lead end-to-end reporting processes for metrics and P&L ensuring all submissions to international FP&A are of high quality and on time; run review meetings with APAC leadership to shine a light on performance hotspots
• Drive continuous improvement programs for speed and accuracy through automation, eliminating papercuts and partnering with PV International FP&A to learn best practices and drive global ways of working in APAC
(4) Strategic Projects:
• Lead financial analysis / modeling for assigned strategic projects with regional or international scope or outside a ‘business as usual’ remit (e.g. strategic investments, new launches / expansion, inorganic opportunities)
• Synthesize market intelligence to APAC leadership on industry trends, competitor actions, benchmarking studies partnering with internal insights teams / external agencies
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 3 to 5 years of Finance experience, across FP&A, business partnering or controllership in a high-growth, multi-national environment
– Advanced analytical and spreadsheet skills and the ability to get into the details, while also understanding the big picture;
– Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and juggling multiple deliverables, while focusing on controllable inputs
– Result-oriented, energetic individual with strong verbal and written communication skills; experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven roles and environments
– Prior exposure to and experience working with senior leaders; demonstrated experience of successfully driving complex and cross-functional projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Prior experience in FP&A, and exposure to management reporting tools like Cognos would be an advantage
– Basic knowledge of SQL is preferred
