DESCRIPTION
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class specialist support is critical to customer success
As a leader of the India Core Services SA team, you will build the foundation of success for AWS services adoption strategy across Core portfolio of services including Graviton, Flexible Compute, Hybrid Edge, Edge Services, Core Networking and Security. You will lead a team of senior architects across the region to translate our customer’s critical C-suite goals into a technical roadmap for success, creating repeatable motions for our organization in partnership with India field teams and WW GTM teams. In emerging areas, your team plays a critical role as the “first in” team to build markets for new services, domains, or solutions.
Key job responsibilities
As a key member of the Solutions Architecture teams, ensure success in building, migrating and modernizing applications, software and services onto the AWS platform.
Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Solutions Architects from internal and external sources.
Educate enterprise, digital native, ISV customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
Coach Solutions Architects in the skills needed to conduct enablement sessions for new and existing customers.
Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.
Guide and motivate the development of whitepapers, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices.
Become a trusted advisor to customer accounts teams and enable them to be “Cloud advocates.”
Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of managing a technical team of solution architects, sales engineers or similar technical roles experience
– 10+ years of in design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications experience
– Bachelor’s degree
– Experience in people management and CXO level engagement
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
– Proven experience in migrating legacy solutions to the cloud and familiarity with enterprise services.
– Strong presentation and written communication skills, comfortable engaging with executives, IT management, and developers.
– Proficient in software development tools, methodologies, and cloud expertise (AWS Solution Architecture certification preferred).
